The problem is (I am guessing here) those caring for him, steal the money thats for the son, for thier own comfort.
Once Ao goes to Canada for a bit that problem is more real.. Just sending some family the sons money, how much does the kid get ?? How much gets to the kids school fees and books.
Seen similar among other extended family problems myself. Wifey wanted to adopt her sisters kid as they were not being taken care of well enough and the girl was not going to get any schooling despite being a really sharp kid.
