Just a brief sidetrack, not a hijack...
Some time ago, I gathered up the (kids) mom, and set about a 3 week holiday in Phuket. The 2 children, were left in the care of Grandma, at home,in the (Isaan) village.
After talking to her children one day, GF was chuckling and relayed this story to me. Everyday, the children (ages by 7 and girl 11), receive 20 baht, from mom to spend at school. (drinks, candy, whatever...lunch is provided at school) This day (as was told by the 7 yr old boy...tearfully), grandma was short on (small money). She gave the 11 yr old girl, her 20 baht, but was only able to come up with 18 baht, for the boy. 5555
In explaining to his mom...he was almost in tears, as he felt he had really been mistreated. 55555
Back to the point (thread), I really don't know what kind of monetary needs a 6 or 7 year old would have???? Other than what I mentioned, above.
