I just stayed there last week. I believe that the only difference between deluxe and standard is the pool view. I had a deluxe room. The safe was very small and did not allow for any computer, but plenty fine for my other valuables.

Areca is a great value and the couple of little gripes that I had would not prevent me from staying there again.
- There is only cold water at the sink (but great shower)
- Towels are small as stamps. I bought two huge ones for 220 baht each and had then cleaned for 20 baht.
- The only have wireless when the feel like connecting it. Always disconnect at 6 PM.

All in all great hotel, good location and the staff is A1.
