So i'm looking at anywhere from lets say 2500 to get there and back (hopefully) and at least 3500 to chill out and have a 'good' time.

Actually a friend of mine, who is currently MIA in SC somewhere who is a pilot mentioned you can get discounted prices on planes for travelling with 1 carry on bag? Anyone heard of this?
