The Parisian shrugged and gave me a whithering look and indicated she didn't understand- "rue? rue?"
I tried what I said out on a French teacher when I got home and she said it sounded pretty good to her.
One refreshing thing recently was meeting a French 24yr old girl who now lives in the UK. She got to 21 and decided she couldn't stand France or the French any more so moved over here.

Perhaps we could encourage an exchange scheme - their fitbits for our lardarses?
