There absolutely, positively will be no asterisk for this record, because:
1) Baseball had no rule against using steroids at the time even skinny utility infielders were hitting 20 HRs per year, which is when Bonds is accused of taking steroids. He broke no rules.
2) It has never been proven that Bonds took steroids. If they could prove it, they would lock him up for lying to a grand jury. They tried to prove it for years, but could not. Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty?
