With Nok Air this year, it was a hassle to book a ticket. They said I would have to fax them a copy of my credit card and my passport before they would sell me a ticket, or go pay in advance at 7/11. I said you have to be kidding, I can just fly Orient Thai or Air Asia. She said that is the rule. Booked with Orient Thai over the net, no problem. Nok Air is owned by Thai Airways.
Flying from the US to LOS, I was never asked to show CC by China Air, or Korea Air, but last two times I flew Eva, and they always want to see it, and told me it must be the card you booked the ticket with or they will not let you board.
