In a nutshell, the difference is that P4P is 99% about the sex, and is usually a matter of very short duration(1 or 2 nights) with each girl.
For the
unmongerer, the sex is no more important than it would be for any guy in any relationship with a GF. So, how important that is, would vary from not at all to very much, depending on the guy. But the sex is not the most important aspect of the relationship. The relating is the most important part. It is P4R, or P4GF, not P4P.
As I see it, it is the "rent-a-GF" approach, as opposed to the P4P approach. For guys who are a bit less picky or more lucky than myself, this often means spending your whole holiday with the shy girl you met the first night. I hardly call that P4P. I also know of a couple cases of guys who spent their whole holiday with one girl and never had sex with her, although they did pay her a per diem, same as any other guy who was having sex would. To me, that proves the point that there is a difference between P4P and "rent-a-GF." In the former, sex is primary and there is no real relationship. In the latter, sex is secondary, and there is a relationship, where feelings and respect for the other person's needs and desires is important, just like in any boy/girl relationship, except that one of the girl's needs is rent money, money for living expenses, and money to send her family.
