Correct, its a different era and we must not forget Beckham has gone to the states not with a tag saying he's the best player but to promote football. He's set up his own football academy in U.S to encourage youngsters from an early age that football is an alternative to NFL, baseball, basketball etc...
Just for the record he played like a complete tw#t last night against the Germans..... but wasn't alone either !!!
