Had I been you, I would get a nice cheap hotel round 1500 bath. insted of paying 3300 bath at the rembrandt. But up to you mate...

I use the Rembrandt most times I stay in BKK (tried the Westin this time but was like 3 days in a building site).
I'd say The Rembrandt is overly for or against joiners. Yes, you get the usual disclaimers in the room but if you either (a) check in with TG or (b) carry your door key with you and come back after 2:30am, no problemos. Worst thing you can do is stagger in at 2am with a BG and ask for your key. If so, would get hassle above.
Always pay 50 USD from web site & have seen loads of western guys with TGs in there. I suppose it depends when you are there.
Nice pool & Indian restaurant there by the way, but the food by the pool is pricey & distictly average.
