Its the law, but only enforced by the supermarkets. Alcohol cannot be sold between 2 and 5 in the afternoon- he was only doing his job. Just go to 7/11 family mart or any little Thaishop- they will sell, also any bar. Tis ting tong but just another crazy rule we have to live by. Its designed (in theory) to cut down on alcohol cunsumption- fat chance.
