What a time and place!
Just returned from a stay in Phuket and would like to share a few thoughts and thank a few people.
My first time in Patong/Phuket has exceeeded all my expectations and wishes. To all the BM I managed to meet, it was a real pleasure, I met no one that was anything other than friendly, welcoming and, unsurprisingly, smiling.
For those who have not been before, do it sooner rather than later, you will not regret it.
A few thoughts and thank yous:
Dodger: You are a star, thank you for the world famous tour of the Soi's, the intro to the local alcohol and for your excellent company. All newbies should take advantage of this tour, awesome, thanks mate.
Nicke: The bell is still ringing in my ear! We spent a number of nights getting mellow and as Nicke was aware of my being drawn very strongly to the taller woman he waited until my eyes were spinning uncontrollably and ensured my waking the next morning would include the view of the smallest female in Phuket. Sense of humour or what!!?? I have nothing but respect and thanks for Nicke, he makes all welcome and is a great guy to get mellow with, the ringing of the bell becomes a habit! Make sure you visit the Mai Thai Bar and say hello.
Bill: The Summer Breeze Hotel. There are insufficient adjectives and superlatives to describe the welcome your staff and you extend to your guests. Relaxed, friendly, clean, fun with NOTHING left to chance. You are a genial and efficient host and being a nice guy puts icing on the already rich cake you present your guests with. I cannot thank you enough for making my stay not only enjoyable but memorable in every positive way. If you get the time please say hello to Shaun and Steve for me, the Aussie contingent. Great guys and great company. Also Pete our Jumbo sized pilot, a funny and clever guy.
Special thanks to Ki, ooy, Hong and Bad (ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!)
Thank you all again, more than I can articulate here.
