Everyone has different views on different topics and an open forum is exactly where people get to air their opinions... You may not like what people say, people might not like what you say.... Agreed, some of the new BM's ask stupid questions or are downright ignorant but they are only degrading themselves not others....

It seems to me to be a symptom of the world we now live in!! Countries or sectors of the world seem to be getting more isolationist and unfortunately, this is more and more Religion based.
Now.... you may say the the West is not ruled by religion, but you must admit that most of the laws we consider to be just and right were originally based on religion.
The Middle East and other Muslim counties are a bit more blatant about it, and then we have the "minority" religions, such as Bhuddism.
From the threads I have seen started, the biggest problem is that people will not accept that people can have a different lifestyle and set of morals that do not fall into the BIG 2. Anyone that doesn't fit into those 2 are subhuman.
It is not the first time in history that this has reared it's ugly head, and the past shows that it usually ends in a devastating WAR!!!
A bit of understanding, empathy, respect and most importantly, acceptance would go a long way in the world just now!!!
