It's sort of a "double edged sword", in my opinion.
How much respect do you think the average BG has for the farang? I mean, after your ST/LT, and they are back with their GF's or thai BF's...do you think they profess their admiration and respect for you, and your free spending spirit?
In most cases, your just a stupid farang to them anyway!
I give the BG's the benefit of doubt, and treat them well enough...as I do for any lady. (courtesy learned at home, growing up) But don't put them on a "pedistal", and say that they only work the bars, because they're poor, etc.
They've made a concious desicion to sell themselves, and there are many more thai ladies, who choose otherwise...and deserve REAL respect.
I certainly don't "respect" their choice of employment!
The morons who post degrading and crude points and questions, are just the scum of the earth...making themselves heard now, thanks to the internet!
