dont even think about the train mate it takes 5 hours and stops everywhere and even when it reaches pattaya it drops you off on the sukhumvit road which means you still need a taxi into town . taxi just over 2 hours except on fridays/saturdays when the bangkok people head for patts it could take 4 hours then because of traffic congestion.

same with huahin train takes nearly 6 hours taxi takes 2 hours 30 mins
