I've always flown LCCs without much worry, but it does occur to me: any good pilot is going to shoot for a job with the higher-paying majors - 12Go, Nok and AirAsia pilots are the ones who couldn't land a job at THAI.

Yes they were cited (and fined IIRC) by Korea for poor maintenance and nearly hit a tower in Japan.. Khun Udon (or Udorn) the owner once fired a pilot who wouldnt take off for safety reasons as one engine wasnt working !!
