Sounds like it might be one of those cases where they have a webform with required fields and won't let you get to the next page without entering the number. I've encountered similar can't remember the site but they were doing some kind of format check on the tel field that wouldn't let me enter a UK one.
Maxghibaz don't worry about it as the post above suggests just enter a made up one or 0800000000 or your home country # if it will work. All you need out of them is the booking confirmation/printable receipt which I'm sure you'll get on the site once the payment is completed.
