It doesn't say how many people in the sex industry are infected with HIV, but the estimated rate of HIV/AIDS victims at the end of 2003 says 570.000 which is
1,5% for the whole country. Among them are 200.000 women (15-49 years old).
If people are put off now and want to cancel their holiday to Thailand I wouldn't recommend visiting and fooling around in countries like Botswana (37,3%) and Swaziland (38,8%), cause the rates there are absolutely shocking
