Please quote any study that states this.. From what I have been informed unprotected vaginal sex has a Female to Male transmission ratio in the order of a part of a single %..
Studies conducted among gay men in the early 80's showed negligable oral transmission rates but the problem is those that give unprotected oral are usually engaging in other more dangerous forms of unprotected sex..
Anecdotal evidence is worthless... only real ****ysed data (without agenda's) is worth following..
Yes, a salavia based test kit is possible yet it has the same issues of looking for antibodies so has a 3 month lag time from contraction of the virus that the test _MAY_ give a false negative.. False negatives are obviously much more dangerous than a false positive especially as in those first couple of months / weeks when no antibodies are present, is one of the highest chances of contracting the virus from a carrier, bar once they are obviously sick (high viral loads and low CD4, essentially AIDs rather than HIV and at this stage people look unhealthy)..
