Add to that following factors...
Many are divorced/separated or have bitter memories of western woman back 'home' - so since there are so relatively few western woman here the chance to get 'one back' for some is a cheap shot to pull.
The majority of Bangla is set up to cater for short stay tourists - when many come over from their 'normal life back home' they may well flip out and forget about the social norms still apply here - if not more so the way Thai society really works beneath the surface - if it was not for removal of Baht from the tourist wallet - a good proportion of (sex)'tourists' would never get past immigration!
I've found most western woman who just take Bangla and the naughty scene light-heartedly and dont get all moralled up and apply western standards here are the ones who are likely to deservedly have just as good a time here as the guys.
