Yeh, CV was a good option, i thought i might just try and avoid carrying luggage around town this time by staying somewhere in terminal 1 until it was time to go to the budget terminal. I don't suppose they have luggage lockers at the budget terminal do they? I don't recall ever seeing any. That way i could grab a taxi and get him to wait at the budget terminal while i stored my luggage and then head into CV.
Thanks for the info on Esmiradas, saves me looking around for a decent place to eat, i'll give it a go for sure. And under $20 sing for a taxi to the Orchard, that'll do me. I couldn't get a cab to take me to the corner store for $20 down under.

They have a manned luggage room in Terminal 1, but pretty sure they dont have in budget terminal. Once you've cleared customs check luggage into left luggage room and get taxi to CV. Taxi back to Terminal 1, pick up luggage then go downstairs to catch free shuttle bus to budget terminal. Should give you a good hour in CV
