Joking apart, the traffic down there can be lethal and often is! I know people have had a skinfull of beer (Morning, noon and night!) BUT try and keep your wits and a bit of road sense about you when crossing the road.
A few people have mentioned the crossing (Zebra) points are a waste of time and yes, really they are, giving a false sense of security to people on holiday and used to traffic actually stopping at them to let them cross the road.
If you can't get across, which is unlikely, find a bar on the side you are on and watch everyone else trying to get across! Sorted!
