nice provincial town, brother in law is from a village just north of it, uni campus and a couple of "flag bars".
not for the monger, but its got to be there.
can hear the "phuu thai" dialect being spoken, not a language in real decline yet, but difficult to recognise it being spoken if issan/lao is hard for you.
home of the best beef i have had in thailand, it is quite good and very expensive.
stronghold of the dog meat market, so tell your local "tour guide", if your willing to try it.
