Good point.Just like Thailand is a changed place regarding westernization,my feeling is that it`s happening even faster in Cambodia !! Until a few years ago it was backward when it came to the influx of western investment,but things are happening very fast there now !!
On my first trip there exactly a year ago,we where able to find 4 ATM`s in all of Phnom Penh.....in april this year there are more than 30...and 4 big banks was built and opened in that 6 months period
....and I guess the BIG shopping center on the outskirts of PP on the road to the airport is soon to be finished !!
On a selfish note many westerners (including myself) wants things in this area to remain as they are,but the people here can`t live and progress in a beautiful surrounding alone only.....let`s just hope they don`t lose to much of who they are on the way to progress........
