No probs......I only know because I have to go to so many bloody opennings/events for my work

dinner suit/tuxedo is black pants with black satin stripe detail on the outside seams of the trousers + black suit jacket with black satin detail on lapels worn with black bow tie and white dress shirt (french cuffs with studs or cuff links for "black tie" events.......otherwise a straight black tie can be worn......

It is acceptable to alternate an all white/cream jacket + tie for the al black version for events which start in daylight hours but in the US this seems to be OK for all hours

Business/lounge suit can be any colour but normally in the darker colours....... black/charcoal/navy and can be worn with your own choice of shirt + tie.....I find these days a tie is even optional here in NZ/Aus provided the shirt/knit is suitable.....
