First and second trips, no problem. Rarely ever asked for anything. Just slip them 1000 Baht at breakfast and they're happy campers!
Third trip, all of a sudden they all seemed to be asking 1500. Even so I think that I only agreed to pay 1200 once, never 1500. One that I liked and who I went with for nearly two weeks agreed to 1000 but I always gave her more, usually 1200. One day I had 1500 Baht in my hand, was about to give it to her, but I didn't tell her that. We were talking and she said something I didn't like.
I excused myself to go to the bathroom, stuck 300 Baht in a drawer, came back and gave her 1200! The stupid girl didn't know it but her stupidity just cost her 300 Baht!
I liked her but cut her loose that night!
Too stupid!
