I have checked in with a TG on 4/5 occassions in the past and never had a problem. The Holiday Inn in Patong was brilliant and all staff treated my TG with as much respect as they did me, I cannot praise them highly enough. I have stayed there 3 times and would always have them in mind for any future visits, although it works out quite expensive if a stay is for more than a week - so 3 week stays like this one are taken at the KN Guest House.
I think that hotels where a TG is checked in and then start making "joiner fee" noises should be named and shamed.
