This post is difficult to write for many reasons but it is a post that I would have liked someone else to write as I would like to view some opinions.

‘SPONSORSHIP’ as it is referred to, what is your personal position and opinion of it?

Reason is that I had become aware of it well before I travelled to LOS and, being a bit of a cynic and not easily taken in (??), I KNEW it was something I would avoid and not fall into the trap of.

Famous last thoughts!

Recently I made a conscious decision to support my GF, knowing the potential pitfalls, history of many etc and my view has obviously done a 180 turnaround.

I justify it by knowing I am not sending anything that I cant afford and that I am sending sufficient for her not to have to ‘work’ if she chooses not to. I also realise that it may all go south and I will be just another statistic. That does not bother me. Sh*t happens.

Nor does admitting to being a ‘sponsor’ as I now view that position differently.
