if you want you can skip to the last 2 paragraphs as you'll get this jist. but this is a somewhat longwinded noob story and a half which some of you might find interesting/funny/typical. if you manage to read it then THANKS!



Since I’m here on my own for quite a while til my mates get here and my gf is stil in bangkok I thought id go and see if I could find some BMs here in the MTB and say hello etc. so I go to bangla to find soi eric. The place is packed to the brim with ladies and there doesn’t seem to be any customers, which is a bit of a nightmare as I want to find MTB. I walk down and get hassle as everybody does and get distracted; I get the toilets at the end which means I either went the wrong way somehow or got the wrong end of the stick regarding the location, or was just too distracted by the BGs.

Anyway the bar on the very end (sub 20 or something), had a whole bunch of absolute stunners so I thought id be an idiot not to stay here for a while. one of the old ladies basically grabbed me an sat me down next to this gorgeous hunny (not the one I actually wanted to have a drink with but oh well I’m not gonna complain), she had the most killer body I have ever seen. I try talking to her with not much joy, and her friends said 'she cannot speak English, she never go with falang before, she only been here 6 days'. I read here that this is a good thing because she will not try anything on or take the piss.

the next morning I left 1k near her bag thinking this was the usual tip, later on she said 'for meee?' I said 'yes of course'.. then she said 'you gib me threee'. I say ok and just give her another 1k. I’m not made of money to give her 3k plus I spent god knows how much in the bar buying for her friends etc. that was already 2 days budget out the window.

Anyway I took her back to her home, all her lady friends were in there and she took me in and her friends cooked lunch for me, which was nice. We went swimming in the sea and had a nice day. But by then I was a bit bored of the fact we could hardly converse and her friend was hanging around as well which was a pain.

that night I went back to the same bar again just out of curtsey, quite a mistake I think as one of her friends was acting like a real obsessive, every time I took my eyes off the girl she and one of her other friends would say 'NO LOOKING OTHER LADY, ONLY LOOKING HER!'. EVERY TIME I even moved my head away just to look around as you do when you're bored I got a load of grief from this one girl and her friend. It’s like for fuk sake this is ridiculous I can’t even turn my head. Eventually they all organized when I came back from the toilet that I sit IN facing towards the drinks side of the bar, so I can’t look out unless I turn 180 degrees. Remember now I wasn’t even looking at other girls anyway I was just bored. Really really lame move I think.

Anyway I got a bit drunk and again spent a small fortune on her friends who I don’t even give monkeys about, I paid the bar just so I could get out of there. now get this... I tried to talk to the old lady in the bar and explain to her that I’m not going to be here forever, and I don’t want to hurt the girl when I leave as she seems to be really clingy, she might not understand how this all works. I mean I don’t really so she probably knows even less! Then straight away all the girls crowded around and got out the calculator and said: 'you can take care her when you go home, you pay 20,000 baht per month and she go home to family, not work here…

ARE THEY SERIOUS?!? I’ve only known the girl for ONE DAY! I said 'look, lets be serious for a second... i am young falang, not have so much money, have money for holiday and a little bit drinking, not have money for pay everything and pay for lady to not work'. She understood and let me go

I took her home and was in a bit of a mood as I didn’t even want to boom boom, we did the next morning because she was being quite pushy with it, probably thinking if I didn’t go boom-boom I wouldn’t give her any money. Totally not the case as I would of given her the exact same money anyway I’m not a bastard. So I gave her another 2k no problem

As we were about to leave the hotel so I could take her home it finally happened, the classic that I always read about here... 'Today you take me shopping?'. HA! She can’t speak English but has no problem with 'shopping' and 'you buy' and 'more money'. Must be universal for girls.

I said ok what do you want to buy? And she kept making a 'picture' shape with her hands and holding something and pointing and me and her. I was thinking oh crap she either wants a digital camera or a new camera phone. because I didn’t quite get what she was saying I gave myself the benefit of the doubt and played dumb like I had no idea what she was saying. we were walking around and every shop that sold cloths I tried to take her in, so I could buy an item of clothing or 2 for her and leave it be, hopefully it wouldn’t kill my wallet, and I felt like I should do as she may not have had much cloths anyway. She said ‘no-no do not want’ every time I tried to take her in. we finally get to where she wanted to be and that is that big shopping centre right near bangla. I thought ohhhh sh1t, she'll want some designer cloths from this place, same prices as England probably. We walk around and walk past the digital shop that sells TVs and cameras etc... She looked and walked past, I thought OK she doesn’t want a digital camera, good! Walk past a phone shop thing. Again she is not interested. OK no new phone, great! I ask her again... what is it you want?? She said 'someone take big picture, you me' I said 'OHHH you want a photograph of me and you together??' she said 'yes, I want picture me you'. That sounded quite sweet, but we couldn’t find anything like that, no photo booths or whatever it is she was talking about. So took her back home and on the way bought her a key ring as she didn’t have one for her key, and a hair clip from a stall. She was happy and of course I didn’t mind.

On the way back to my hotel we bumped into her friend, the obsessive one, and some other girl again. She tries to grab us and turn us around and say 'you go bar now!’ I said no I’m going home to have a shower, she said 'OK you hurry, you go bar later'. I said yes yes yes. This was enough for me now. I walked with the girl and explained to her that I’m not drinking 2 nights in a row because bad for my tummy, and I want to go to the gym tonight and see my friends in Karon. She was very upset because she asked if I wanted to go with her tonight and I said no I cannot, I stay with my friends in karon. I took her back to soi eric and emptied my wallet to give to her, about 700 baht. Said take care. To me this was basically 'goodbye and please tell your friends to leave me alone' money. She tried one last time to drag me in but I stopped on the edge of soi eric, I didn’t want to even go near it. said goodbye and that’s that.




now the reason i'm telling you this long winded story is because her and her friends live about 4 minutes walk away from my hotel, and are scattered about the street in the day and night. so if not today maybe another day i'm bound to bump into at least one of them and maybe her. i really do not wanna get involved with her or her friends. 1. the girl I am not interested in now because we are not compatible, she cant speak english and even though she is 6 months older than me, shes quite innocent it seems and I like girls who are up for a laugh and want to go out clubbing, bowling etc etc. now I feel like this could fuk up my holiday as i feel like i have to watch my back . PLUS i really wanted to meet some of you guys in the MTB which is paces away from her bar i'm pretty sure. Also there were some other girls in the bar next door i really wanted to walk to, as they seemed like loads of fun and were really hot of course, spoke english etc. such a shame I wont be able to go near them now!!

do you have any advise?!? any of you guys in patong at the moment? Sorry if I sound like a wimp but I don't want to have my **** lobbed off or get the crap kicked out of me for 'cheating'.
