I agree with everyone saying that these guys are stupid. You have to ask the reason why they are doing it. The recent clampdown on drugs by the Thai government has scared the shit out of a lot of would be traffickers. However in Thailand there is still a huge demand for drugs, and the financial rewards for those willing to take the chance are huge. It would be interesting to find out how many get away with it, and how much they are earning. By taking such a hard line the profits by international traffickers, and the risks they are willing to take, have rocketed. I believe they need to clamp down on the drugs problem further in the farang areas, and scare the sh*t out of a few more farangs to reduce the demand for drugs, by publicising cases such as this. I know one thing, i would not risk it no matter how much cash was waiting at the other end.
