2.30AM in the morning - riding around in unfamiliar roads = most likely under the influence ... not a wise thing to do even in your own back yard - pity some leave common sense at home when they get on the airplane.
Its very unpleasant that this should happen and of course this should NOT happen - but unfortunately every country has its share of opportunist thugs so exercising a degree of caution when traveling makes sense.
