If it were me, unless it was my intention to fully commit to her I wouldn't send her any money.

You are spot on, Im procrastinating regarding the full commitment but am ensuring that what I send is sufficient.
Once I get my head around the one woman thing and sort out the other complication then I can forsee her and daughter doing the return journeys with me, or even living in Penang most of the time.
Its early days yet, thats why the lack of decisiveness, I aint used to it!!
