Never heard of that being any different.. You sure he didnt mean the tax and insurance stickers (tho now you dont display insurance stickers its tax only this year on)..
If in doubt.. Go to the guys by the temple who do all the bike registrations and issue tax stickers etc.. They will give a 100% answer.
