After another 30 minutes, two high pressure managers and me hardly having more than 2 words in my vocabulary: "Not Interested"; I finally got my certificate for two nights. I redeemed them at Hilton Hawaiian Village.

Later I read an article in USA Today detailing the same scheme. If you have the couple of hours, the "gift" is worth more than the two hours AND you have the self control of not caving in to high pressure; it may be worth while.

Thats the difference between you and I Lars. I have been caught up in two of them now, one in Patong in 2004 and one at Daytona Beach in '98. The one in the US was worse with the hard sell, and they tried everything to close a deal. In the end I told them I was unemployed and they dropped me like a hot brick 5555. Got a free meal for two hours of my life wasted.

Now I'd tell them to politely get lost.
