Aha !! This is all new to me.
However, I still stand by my "Yes" (I'm the 1 against 21 "No"s so far

) as I have flown on many aircraft where they already had their own telephones (i.e. swipe your credit card along the handset and jabber away) but have yet to ever see anyone using them.
To me it's a bit like the time when the UK government was thinking about relaxing licensing laws and allowing pubs/bars to stay open all afternoon (instead of having to close from 3pm-5pm). There were numerous howls of disagreement from all the doom and gloom merchants !! People were stating that "the high streets of Britain will soon be full of drunken workers every afternoon who won't want to go back to work !!" "Industry will grind to a halt whilst everyone's down the pub all afternoon" etc etc
Afterwards many people felt that all day drinking in the UK was a good thing and should have happened a lot sooner. Funny how the doom and gloom merchants kept quiet.
I fail to see why so many people think allowing telephones on planes will be such a bad thing.
