Unfortunately, the timeshare in LOS, which operates out of Thara Patong Hotel and Seapearl (or used to) is very heavy on the hard sell. I know, I got caught 3 years ago.
What was supposed to be a 90 min presentation turned into a 3 hour high pressure sales pitch by both the guy presenting, and his manager. We were even asked to return , with them, back to my hotel to get my credit card for payment of said timeshare. As for the freebie, ha it was a T Shirt, big deal!
Have you heard of "Club Absolute" ? Well they are the vermin annoying the hell out of holidaymakers in Phuket.
I could say a whole lot more, but will leave it here with just one more thing to say about it all. If timeshare is so great for us, why not just put up a few posters around the streets and wait for people to come to you. Why are there guys (and girls) roaming the streets with scratch cards (every one is a winner naturally), combing the beaches with "surveys" only to later ring you at some unearthly time in the morning? It is the very fact that people on holiday don't want this crap pushed at them. Just advertise in the newspapers and magazines, and stop annoying people on their holiday.
Oh, and yes, a simple no thanks should suffice, but it rarely does.

Yeah I know exactly what you are saying Dawsey, and you are very right mate,it should be a simple no thanks and thats it and I respect peoples wishes and that is how I work,I cant be bothered to keep flogging a dead horse to be honest with you.And the company That I work for does alot of advertising on the Radio so its not all about approaching people on the streets
