Alan, it seems to me you have a couple of choices. You are obviously interested in another girl now, but naturally don't trust her (or any other Thai girl??) after your last relationship problem.

You either send money to her on a regular basis (sponsorship), and get her to leave the bar scene, or just meet up when you are in town and treat her as another holiday romance that is going nowhere.
If you send money, you are going to have to use a PI to check she has actually left the bar scene and has gone back to her village. Even then, there could be a Thai boyfriend..........something else that needs checking. You need to know she is on the level before sending regular money.

What do you want from this new relationship? A future partner? If so you have a long road to go down before that can happen, bearing in mind the hoops you have to jump to get a Thai girl back to the UK. Marriage? Just as difficult unless you intend to live in and carry on working in the UK.
I don't know your circumstances, but these are all things for you to figure out.
