I was woken up around 1am tonight to what I thought was a clap of thunder until I heard a second roar which was clearly a landslide ride beside my apartment. I am a good bit up the hill from Club Bamboo and a chunk of the hill where my apartment is slid off. Although I couldn't quite see myself a neighbour said that one house is hanging off the side but its too dark to see. I really hope no one was hurt.

The whole complex of around 20 apartments has been evacuated and I think its best to err on the side of caution. I'm booked into a hotel now so I can get some more shut eye! I will wait for the rain to subside before going back into the apartment. One thing for sure, the next time I go back in it will be to pack my bags and move to a safer location.

I will give an update here whenever there is more news. I think Nicke said LivinLOS is up the same hill as me so I hope he is alright.

For now I'm gonna declare a 'landslide victory' for getting out in one piece.....sorry couldn't resist it!!
