As I just said in PM (thanks for the heads up)..

Ever since I moved in the house has had subsidence cracks. Firstyear hairline cracks, then they evolved into making new 1mm cracks each 1/2 year.. Tis year its just gone mad.. The house is totally falling apart due to subsidance.. They have been butressing under the house for the last month and we developed about 4 - 5mm width of new cracks (all over it) in less than a month !! The pool is cracking, the whole place is screwed.. We are already looking to move next spring.. We were going to see how the butressing went and it it solved anything 9they have a theory its cos the 3 different levels are on slightly different foundation slabs.. We jsut think the whole place is screwed.. Farting into a thunderstorm is my housemates comment on the repairs.

There have been 2 new houses / villas built in the last year on soft ground hanging over the end up behind and even further out than the hillside residence ones.. they always looked like a disaster waiting to happen to me.

Thanks for the heads up guys.. Will be calling my housemate. Sounds like we will be moving sooner rather than later.
