Im always surprised 'fair dinkum ', meaning 'jing jing' or 'nae nawn' is still in the lexicon.
'A schooner of New' ( New South Wales Residents only) equates to 'Bia , gaew nueng kup' , I think. And 'tucker' equals 'aharn'.
' Give it a miss' certainlly does not translate as 'Hai marn poo ying' ( give it a woman) but as 'mai oa kup', and is very useful on Nepalese suit sellers who dont speak Thai anyway.
As a matter of fact , if you are in Phuket and you want to learn more 'strine', ( Australian) approach these friendly blokes as they have now mastered the dialect....
