I dont remember the fee's involved now but its a third strike system if I remember right, so if happens next time it will be even worse. And a third time may mean go to prison. I posted about this maybe 2 years ago.
I never heard anyone getting caught for this in Patong thought, and if the police did, they could easily lock up 30% of the drivers here any night and time.

Man, that would seriously shake (wake?) me up too. But point is still that there’s a 99% chance of
not getting stopped unless you’re involved in an incident. (But yes, the chance of getting involved here is certainly way greater than back home.)
Did not know about the “third strike” system also included farangs though.
