My biggest noob mistake, and kinda embarrassing was on BKK airport when arriving there for the first time.
At the arrivals i thought that everyone who was wearing a yellow polo was an airport official (it was on a monday mind you). So booking a ride to my hotel with one of these people would guarantee me a fair price.
Not only did i pay way more than a metered taxi ride, but the driver had me paying 200 bhat on top of that for the tollway. Lessons learned.
