The Post Office Travel card is an expensive way of taking your money to Thailand.

They charge £10, for the card. Charge you 1.5% to top your card up in Sterling. Then when you make a withdrawal in Thailand there will be a 2.75% charge to convert your sterling to Baht, plus another £2 charge per withdrawal.

Compare this with getting Traveller’s Cheques from the Post Office. It costs 1.5% commission when you buy the Traveller’s Cheques and it will cost you 33 baht at Siam Commercial Bank to cash each cheque.
