Update....
GF went home, late at night as reported earlier.
The (sick) little girl, slept through the night, but had a bit of a fever.
Next morning...a drive to the doctor. Antibiotics and (fever) medication given, and the child responded favorably.
After two days of med's, she's up and running at full speed again. (kids bounce back fast, huh)
In that village, there are cars around. It's just to say that, in their "neighborhood", there are not many options. In an emergency, they could call someone, who knows someone, who knows someone, with a car. And most all the people (in the area) would help out, I'm sure. As I said, it's a big rural area...well spread out.
Just a bit hesitant to call on strangers, in the middle of the night...for a (maybe) emergency.
All's well, that ends well!
