I've used EVA air on my last six or seven trips to LOS (from London Heathrow), I think that overall Thai and EVA are about the same, the only reason I use EVA is because of the personal entertainment system, I flew home two weeks ago and had a choice of about 12 different movies as well as games and TV shows, on a 11 hour flight you need something to do, you can only sleep for so long!
The baggage allowance is 20kg, I signed up for the EVA air loyalty scheme and I recently got a silver membership, it entitles me to 30kg baggage allowance and it also allows me to use the VIP lounges, the VIP lounge at Suvarnabhumi was great, free food, drinks inc alcohol, Internet, massage chairs and showers! The only way to fly!
