Running tabs is the BarSoft solution, right? It's indeed implemented with much more!
BlueBarTender can print orders separately. Also it keeps only 1 bill open on which the orders are booked.
The total amount of all orders (running total) can be printed on the order, but also you can choose not to do this.
Another option is to print the total complete bill everytime an order is placed (like BarSoft). In this case however the last order is always printed at the top of the bill,
separated from the rest, so it's easy to check for the customer and the staff:
1 Heineken 90 <--- last order
- - - - - - - - -
1 Heineken 90 <--- previous orders below here
2 Chang 180
Total 360
There is also an option for lines to be summarized to prevent too long bills.
so:
1 Heineken 90
3 Chang 270
1 Heineken 90
becomes:
3 Chang 270
2 Heineken 180
We like to keep things flexible, so it will be the solution that fits into your bar.
There are some more options to change the printing of the bill.
Unless the bill is paid it will stay open.
Bills have a bill number, can be linked to serving staff number and also can be linked to a table number. Whatever you want ....
Also service staff can be linked per order. Soon we will implement a report feature that you can print a detailed bill in case there is a problem with a customer. This will for instance show when the order was placed and who did it.
