Its the "2 world wars and one world cup" mentality thats seems to be entering every aspect of British life at the moment. I dont like it, but it seems the people doing it are very badly educated and read too many tabloid newspapers.

This is the problem with nationalism in England. Its harks back to much to the "We will fight them on the beaches......" and "Our England" that was so prevelent in past generations during wars. Its too intrenched in the national psyche to be stoped now I fear.
