1. Do the owners of these businesses know they are probably loosing customers? I personally will never go back again and not recommend anyone to go there because of this.
2. What happens if you are staying at one of the hotels for lodging. Do u pay everytime? Won't be recommending to anyone to stay on that Soi if so.
3. Are the owners getting a cut on this 20baht?
I have seen this same greediness happen to places in Mexico. And guess what there is only so much gouging prices and greed that the tourists and locals will take. Very soon people look else where. Which I am guessing is starting to happen in Phuket. I have. Sad but true.

Is this only happening during the day?? I always park my bike in Sansabai when I venture down Bangla in the evening and have never paid a Baht. I wouldn't say paying 20 Baht would deter me from using the soi though, still loads cheaper than taxi there and back. Only 10 baht in Soi Sunset in the evenings.
