With no desire to try to do any 'told you so' crap.. After all you still may meet someone you click with.
If its really your goal, then try to engineer a long stay, try to get time from work and actually live here even briefly. If your not a bar type person then use the dating sites etc. But trying to click in such a sort period of time is not an easy proposition. Being resident gives them more idea about you also its real life v holiday life.
