Not exactly a solution to your current problem. However, I never stray far from my trusty pair of
Bose Noise Canceling Headphones. Used them in Iraq, Phuket, on day-long flights, in military choppers, and now since I have some serious party-animal neighbors. (Bless their hearts...)
Caveats: You must sleep on your back, no rolling over allowed, that will ruin the items. Or so I am told. Also, they consume batteries like there is no tomorrow: roughly one per day. There are cheaper NC headsets on the market (Le Bose cost about $US300) but I have never seen their equals in this application. OTOH, Bose Noise Canceling aviation headsets are over-rated and over-priced. Do not get me started on their speakers.
But consider: As a cabdriver in Las Vegas every morning I loaded fares heading back to their hotels. My comment: "We have a name for tourists who SLEEP in Vegas." "Yeah? What's that?" "WIMP." There are worse places than LOS to be awake all night.
